Government furlough support to reduce to 60% from 1 August
From 1 August 2021, the government will pay 60% of wages up to a maximum cap of £1,875 for the hours the employee is on furlough.
Food workers given exemption from isolation rules
Supermarket depot workers and food manufacturers will be exempt from quarantine rules as the government tries to prevent food supply problems.
